STATEMENT OF FAITH

· We believe that the Bible, which contains the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments, is inspired by God and inerrant in the original writings, and that they alone are of supreme and final authority in faith and life. (II Pet.1:21; 3:2; I Cor. 2:13; II Tim. 3:16).

· We believe that there is one God, eternally existing in three persons:  Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Matt. 28:19; Jn. 14:26; Jn. 15:26; II Cor. 13:14; I Pet. 1:2)

· We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory (Matt. 1:20-25; 16:15-16; Lk. 1:26-35; Jn. 1:1-18; Acts 2:22-36; Rm. 8:3, 32-24; Phil. 2:5-11; Heb. 1:1-5).

· We believe that God, the transcendent Creator of all things in heaven and earth, created Adam and Eve in his own image; that they sinned, and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death, which is alienation from God; the universal sinfulness and guilt of all men and women since the Fall renders them subject to God’s wrath and condemnation.  Both Adam and Eve were created in God’s image, equal before God as persons and distinct in their manhood and womanhood.  That through them God created the pattern of Biblical marriage of one man and one woman united in covenant before God for his purposes (Gen. 1: 2:21-24; Mal. 2:13-14; Matt. 19:3-9; Jn. 2:1-11; Eph. 5:21–6:4; Heb.13:4).

· We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful people, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential (Jn. 1:13; 3:3, 5, 7; II Cor. 5:17; I Jn. 3:9; 4:7; 5:14, 18; Titus 3:5).

· We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by who’s indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life (Ezek. 36:27; Jn. 14:17; Rm. 8:9; I Cor. 3:16; I Jn. 2:27).

· We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation Gen. 18:25; I Sam. 2:10; I Thess. 1:5-10; Rev. 20:11-15; 22:1-5).

· We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ Rom. 12:5; I Cor. 10:17; 12:12; Gal. 3:28; Eph. 4:13).

· We believe that Marriage unites one man and one woman in a lifetime commitment to companionship, pure sexual expression (Gen. 2:23-23; Matt. 19:4-6), Procreation, and reflects the relationship of Christ and the church (Gen 1:28; Prov. 5:15-19; I Cor. 7:1-5).

· We believe that God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged in outside of a marriage between one man and one woman.  We believe that any form of homosexuality, bisexuality, bestiality, incest, fornication, adultery, pornography are sinful perversions of God’s gift of sex.  We believe that God disapproves of and forbids any attempt to alter one’s gender by surgery or appearance (Gen. 2:24; Gen. 19:5, 13; Gen. 26:8-9; Lev. 18:1-30; Rom 1:26-29; I Cor. 5:1: 6:9; I Thess. 4:1-8; Heb. 13:4).
